Who I am
This website, https://bwhudson.com, is run by Brandon Hudson, a leader and culture development coach, consultant, and speaker based in Lubbock, Texas. When this policy says “I” or “me,” that’s who it means.
The short version: I only collect what I need to talk with you, I don’t sell it, and you can ask me to delete it anytime.
What I collect and why
When you contact me
If you use the form on the Let’s Talk page, I collect your name, email address, organization (if you share it), what you’re interested in, and your message. I use this information only to reply to you and follow up about the work you asked about. Messages arrive in my email inbox and are stored in the website’s database.
When you join a waitlist or newsletter
If you sign up for updates, a waitlist, or a newsletter, I collect your name and email address and use them to send you what you signed up for. That list is kept with MailerLite, my email service provider (their privacy policy is at https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy). Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
When you leave a comment
If you comment on a post, the site collects the information in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser details to help catch spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be checked against the Gravatar service to see if you have a profile picture there. Gravatar’s privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Comments and their details are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be approved automatically.
When you simply visit
Like most websites, the server that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and performance.
What I don’t do
- I don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- I don’t add you to a mailing list just because you sent me a message.
- I don’t share what you tell me with anyone except the service providers listed below, who help run the site.
Services that help run this site
- Web hosting: the site and its database are hosted by IONOS.
- Image delivery: images are optimized and served by Optimole, which may process your IP address and browser details to deliver the right image size.
- Email: contact form messages are delivered to my email account, and newsletter or waitlist sign-ups are stored with MailerLite.
- Spam protection: form submissions and comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies. If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in a cookie so you don’t have to retype them; that cookie lasts one year. Site administrators who log in get temporary login cookies. The site does not use advertising cookies.
Embedded content from other websites
Some pages may include embedded content such as videos or scheduling tools. That content behaves as if you visited the other website directly, and those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content under their own privacy policies.
How long I keep your information
I keep contact form messages as long as they’re useful for our conversation or working relationship, and then delete them. Newsletter and waitlist information is kept until you unsubscribe. Comments are kept as described above.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me at any time to see the personal information I have about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and I’ll honor those requests.
Coaching conversations
This policy covers the website. If we work together, what you share in coaching or consulting sessions is covered by the confidentiality terms in our coaching or consulting agreement.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle personal information, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
